Day 1: Up Over the Top of the World!

Vern and I arrived HOME today from Nepal!  Starting tonight, I'll recreate each one of our 25 days with a couple of photos and a few words: barbbrockdaily.blogspot.com.  Quite literally, this 777 Emirates flight went straight up and OVER the North Pole! The interior of the cabin was speckled with fluorescent stars to encourage us to sleep, along with warm towelettes and three meals, but the movies and culture on board were also fascinating. After 14 hours in flight, the lights of Dubai shone for us...but the night was yet young! Stay tuned tomorrow for our 22 fabulous hours with Sultan and his sweet fiance Gioia :)
