Day 8: Graduation, Celebration, and Tailor YOGA!

What a proud moment for each of the 24 graduates as they received their diplomas from HealthEd Connect Nepal. They also received a stocked health care kit, Luci solar powered lights, books and nutrition resources, and scales to take back to each of their villages. We staff were so surprised when they lavished homemade gifts on us! The entire Hawkins family was honored for their good work, Jac and Sherri all dressed up, Vern looking good in hat and scarf, and Michelle draped with a lovely pashmina shawl. Pinkey and her husband, Binod (our translator extraordinaire) did a fantastic job of organizing, recruiting, and assisting Michelle for this special event. To celebrate a successful training, Ben, the local tailor (and certified yoga instructor), from across that busy street, offered to come do a fabulous yoga class for a few of us. :)
