Day 10: Standoff in the Streets, Pokhara, and Two Graceland Roomies!

Left the Manang Hotel this afternoon with Dil, our guide and Sherpa, and flew out on Buddha Air for Pokhara. I will miss seeing all the lovely colorful "Punjabis" Nepali women wear and the noisy-energy-pulse of the big city, but we are ready to head to the mountains! Also very excited Diane's family is joining us for the first three days of our trek and a lovely twosome, Lage and Gula, from Norway as well. We will be meeting up with three other porters early tomorrow morning to head out by van to Nayapul, the starting point of our two week trek!  Tonight, we watched women washing clothing in Pokhara Lake at sunset and two bulls facing off in the street outside our cafe. Two Iowa farm girls and former Graceland roomies, starting a TREK in Nepal - go figure! :)
