Safety Pin Turkey Skin Anyone?

My clever husband was following his brother Aaron's advice about rubbing seasoned butter UNDER the turkey skin and THIS is what I placed in the oven. He accidentally ripped the skin a bit and solved the problem.  Has anyone ever seen this before? The turkey was actually very tasty!  :)
